Was looking at an aerial view of the stadium this morning and something struck me (other than the box of Cheerios my wife dropped on my head after I asked, "What's for breakfast?").
Our unusually ugly press box (built in 1975) looks like it's about 3 feet from the (relatively) new parking garage. How will they be able to tear down the press box without also destroying the parking garage to allow for construction equipment such as big cranes?
My suggestion: Don't tear it down, just clad it in red brick with white stone trim to match the rest of the stadium and other campus buildings.
Is the press box as bad inside as outside? If so, gut it and install all-new equipment. Gotta be a lot cheaper than building a huge new structure.
