Hurricane Ida is hammering the NOLA levees so time will tell if Tulane’s stadium can avoid flooding. The very strong east and northeast winds blowing across Lake Pontchartrain are a big problem...with the slow movement. Hope that in 6 days things can get under control.

Think they have fake turf so hope they have a REAL good drainage system. The stadium is closer to Mississippi River side so hope it’s far enough away from levee overtopping flooding.

Flood emergency for a large part of Orleans Parish, and a large scale power outage. Not looking good at all for the City. Hurricane forced the Mississippi River to reverse course. Lots of problems to worsen.

Haven't heard of any damage to the stadium and the power should be back on soon, unless there was devastating damage, which I have not heard about. Also, if they truly want the game to be played, they could find an alternate site, just saying.

From Tulane University: "Fitts also wrote that, although the storm's path had deviated from what was anticipated, the school had taken precautions and all residence halls had been secured and supplied with back-up emergency power."

Sounds like the game will be played on Saturday unless I'm missing something.

If New Orleans doesn't have power by Wednesday, Birmingham could work. The true extent of transmission damage will be known today. Tulane has already moved their team to Birmingham for practice, rumor now is that it might be 2 weeks before power is completely restored in New Orleans.
