I’ve read about Chavis and he’s got a great story. Not surprised that Brent wanted him to join the OU staff.
So does this mean Thib is still DL coach? Chavis working with the DE's someone has to work with the DT's.

Now we need to switch gears and get some maulers recruited at LB. Wash away the speed D grease...
No worries, Brent has found some great ones and will get some great LBs. Venables is a front 7 guy through and through.
Which is why I'm flabbergasted we lost Dindy. He really neeeds to rethink this imo.
His going to A&M was really strange. Very hasty decision. A McD’s bag of cash? Or in these days a brief case...
Reverend Dindy will not have money problems any longer and his flock will flourish. 😉

The aggys giving the Reverend a position at the University, is all sorts of wrong.
The Gabe Dindy & his family are all very religious people. They also grew very close to Thibbs in the process of his recruitment. Aggie & OU were the final two schools of his recruitment and Thibbs/OU finally won his commitment. This past June, Gabe's father accepted a position at a CS/B Church of Christ as the first Director of a new school. Dindy committed months AFTER his father accepted the position. From what I've read the Dindy's are not the type of folks that accept bags of cash or a gig from school etc. They're not shady folks.
Gabe Dindy is highly ranked no doubt. But he also only committed to OU because of Thibbs. Thibbs is gone. He's out. As such, Dindy's de-committed and committed to Aggie his former runner up. So it's not like he jumped into a commitment w/ no thought process. Aggie recruited him for a long time. He's more comfortable w/ that situation than with a new HC that has come along and fired they coach at OU that recruited him. Add to this his family is now there and it just makes sense.
He's gone. It wasn't Venables fault. And it isn't Gabe's fault either. This is just another recruit and coach that is caught up LR bailing on OU and the program. Call it collateral damage.
