As well as being a promising hitter and corner infield prospect, Riddle is also getting attention as an upcoming pitcher who consistently throws in the upper 50s and is one of the fastest-rising prospects in Jeff Filali's Tulsa Elite organization. Centex Buzz Gold took home the USFA Championship and Baylor-commit Wachtendorf was a huge component to their offense. She held a .519 batting average with a .678 on-base percentage. Not only a force in the box, she posed a major threat on the bases swiping 31 stolen bases and touched home plate 32 times. Centex Buzz finished in the top 10 at the USA Nationals and placed 3rd at the Texas Gold Cup. High School ball was no different. She was named High School District Newcomer of the Year and 1st Team All-District. One Big 12 coach said, “No one will outwork that kid, she's a true leader on the field.”
T70 | Tatum Sparks, C/OF | Tulsa Elite (Oklahoma State)
You would be hardpressed to find another softball players as athletic as Tatum Sparks. Every coach we spoke with talked about how dynamic and versatile Sparks is on the field. It's no surprise that this tri-sport athlete can play every position on the field except for pitcher. In 2017, Sparks made second team Oklahoma Big All-City team as one of the top sluggers on her Shawnee High School team. Sparks is a key component of what could be Oklahoma State's best recruiting class under Kenny Gajewski.
T65 | Toni McInnis, MIF/OF | Texas Glory - Naudin (Kansas)
With her 5-foot-10 frame, McInnis is a Texas favorite for most coaches. Long and lanky, McInnis can play middle or outfield depending on the needs of the team. A solid lefty hitter, she batted .405, with 19 RBI, 7 doubles, 4 triples, and 1 home run. McInnis' offensive efforts propelled Texas Glory Naudin to a 1st place finish at Top Gun and a 2nd place finish at the Tulsa Elite Invitational.
T60 | Kaylee Lyon, MIF | Gametime Stars 2021 Gold (Texas Tech)
Lyon's big-time swing comes with big-time numbers. Over the summer, she cranked out 11 home runs with 75 RBi. Lyon's RBI production was the highest on the team with an OPS of 1.208 and a .730 slugging percentage. Her success at the plate contributed to Gametime Stars 2021 Gold team's top 20 finishes at Triple Crown Sparkler and USA Elite Select WFC, and a 3rd place finish at USA JO Cup. Over half of her hits were extra-base hits. "She is a complete player who hits for power and average," her coach said. "She has good speed and a high softball IQ".
T53 | Emmy Guthrie, P/OF | Tulsa Elite (Oklahoma)
Guthrie is one of the most underrated spinners in the 2021 class. She won't blow the ball by hitters but she will deceive them spinning the ball on a horizontal plane and then going upstairs with her rise ball for the swing and miss. Guthrie led her Lone Grove High School team to a runner-up finish at state recording 266 strikeouts in 163 innings of work. As a freshman, she held a 1.10 ERA and was named District Pitcher of the Year and LCC Pitcher of the Year. The Oklahoma-commit can also swing the bat holding a .340 batting average.

One of the premier hitters out of the 2021 class is Oklahoma State-commit Maggie Herdejurgen. She's not the fastest player in her class, nor does she have to be when she crushes the ball over the fence. Over the summer, she launched 12 home runs to all fields with authority. High School was no different for the Crosby slugger who had 44 RBI in 31 games played with 9 doubles, 4 triples, and 13 home runs. Hedejurgen also hits for high average batting .468 with a .523 on-base percentage, 1.177 slugging percentage, and 1.700 ops. Behind the plate, she has a canon and a .991 fielding percentage.
T44 | Erna Carlin, P | Diamond Sports Hotshots (Texas Tech)
Carlin had an outstanding freshman campaign as she led Waller High School to the playoffs recording 236 strikeouts. The 2018 20-5A District Newcomer of the Year was not only stellar in high school, she battled all summer on Diamond Sports Hotshots Falterman. Striking out 95 batters in 75 innings, Carlin held an ERA of 1.39. She also pitched the championship game of the USA Elite World Fastpitch Championship throwing a complete game giving up just four hits against the OC Batbusters K. Stith. Carlin also helped the Hotshots to a top 10 finish at the 14U PGF Premier Nationals striking out 36 batters in 36 innings of work recording a 0.38 ERA. Winning is not just a phenomenon for Carlin in 2018, she's been doing it since 12U as the ace for Impact Gold, the PGF 12U Premier National Championship team. One of the best hurlers in the Southwest, Carlin's levers, stats, wins, and her mental game puts her in the upper echelon of pitchers in Texas and nationally. She has consistently thrown in the 59-61 mph range with deceptive movement and continued her hot streak in the fall as she struck out 82 in 51 innings. One rival club coach said, "Erna won PGF and is still smoking." She's also a consistent home run threat at the plate with her plus power and has received interest from Big 12, SEC, and Pac-12 programs.

Elder is a dynamic speed and power combo player for the Aces Express. Fast, athletic, and savvy Elder is electric on the field on both offense and defense. This summer she batted .550 with 30 RBI, 8 home runs and 29 stolen bases. She was named Newcomer of the Year for Clear Springs High School. Her all-around game helped Aces Express Futures to a 3rd place finish at the Colorado Triple Crown Fireworks tournament. Batting from the left side and holding down the middle, Elder is a 5-tool athlete every team would love to have on their roster.
T33 | Kaci West, P/IF | Diamond Sports Hotshots - Dumezich (Baylor)
You can't argue with numbers, wins, championships, and accolades, when it comes to Kaci West, she gets the job done. Ranked #41 last year, West was on a mission in 2018 sweeping all All-State awards, winning the State Championship for Liberty High School, and taking home the 4A State MVP. This athletic pitcher has played nearly every position on the field and made Baylor her choice in the summer of 2017. The long-time Dirt Diva made a huge splash last season guiding the Divas to a PGF 14U Premier National Championship. For the Divas, this summer, West hit .328 and pitched 54 innings with a 1.38 ERA.
26 | Annabelle Widra, P/MIF | Birmingham Thunderbolts 02 (Oklahoma State)
Pitcher, switch-hitter, shortstop, speedster, beast. Anabelle Widra is all of those things. Named All-Metro Player of the Year, MVP, 1st Team All-Super State, 2nd Team All-American, Widra held a 1.985 ERA with 294 strikeouts while holding a .453 batting average with 29 RBI, 2 home runs, and 38 stolen bases. Offensively, she mostly slaps but can switch to the right side and hit for power. On the mound, she throws in the 62-62 mph range averaging 10.8 strikeouts per 7 innings in club and set a Spain Park single-season record tossing 10 shutouts and a no-hitter. On the bases, she runs a 2.6 from home to first and racks up the stolen bases. When she's not pitching she plays short with serious range and game savvy. Widra picked Oklahoma State over Michigan and several SEC schools.
T23 | Angelina Allen, 1B | Corona Angels - Slye (Iowa State)
Allen is an RBI machine. The lefty slugger batted .550 during PGF and .653 during high school. At Woodcrest, Allen roped in 41 RBI in 24 games with 12 doubles, 3 triples, and 7 home runs. He on-base percentage was .708 with a slugging percentage of 1.173 and an OPS of 1.881. The Iowa State-commit was a game changer on offense for the Corona Angels who took 1st place at PGF 14U Premier Nationals and IDT Boulder.
13 | Alexx Waitman, SS | Athletics Mercado (Oklahoma)
Shortstop Alex Waitman had a terrific freshman campaign at Crossings Christian High School batting .720 with 19 doubles, 7 home runs, 8 triples, and 30 stolen bases. The starting shortstop for Athletics Mercado 16U was instrumental in leading them back to a PGF Premier title game. Waitman batted third for Mercado and she's projected to be a Nicole Pendley-type hitter. Before committing to Oklahoma, Waitman was being recruited by some of the top Power Five schools as an eighth grader. She moves up to the Athletics Mercado/Tidd 18U squad.
12 | Turiya Coleman, C/UT | Impact Gold National - Jackson (Oklahoma)
A natural righty turned slapper, and lefty power hitter, Turiya is one of the most dynamic three-hole hitters in the country. Within one year of switching from righty to lefty, Coleman was rocking the ball out of the park. This summer Coleman batted .547 with 42 RBI, 7 home runs and 21 stolen bases. Her athleticism is off the charts blending speed, power, and the ability to adjust at a freakish rate. The opposing defense has a difficult time defending Coleman because she can drag bunt, slap, or go yard depending on their positioning. Behind the plate, she's been clocked at 76 mph overhand speed with a 1.55 pop time. She was named 1st Team All-District.

Did you know that Brianna Evans is a softball stud, track star, weightlifter, and band soloist? At Red Oak High School, Evans was named Athlete of the Year, District Newcomer of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and 1st Team All-District. Last year, we questioned whether Evans could play shortstop at the DI level and she convinced us and many others that she's more than capable. She's got the speed, the range, and the arm to get the job done up the middle or in the outfield. Batting from the left side, Evans can bunt, slap, or hit away. Once she's on the bases, Evans' speed poses a major threat to steal, create chaos, and score runs. Her performance over the summer is instrumental in guiding Texas Glory Naudin to a runner-up finish at the Tulsa Elite Invite and 1st place finish at the North Texas Shootout. Before committing to Oklahoma State, Evans was being recruited heavily by SEC and Big 12 schools.
7 | Tatum Clopton, P | DeMarini Aces (Oklahoma State)
Oklahoma State-commit, Clopton climbed up the rankings as one of the best pitchers in the nation after a very successful summer beating top-ranked teams and winning the state title for Free State High School. Not afraid to show emotion on the mound, Clopton deals her swing and miss pitches with confidence. Her pitch deception lies in her ability to throw the ball in the zone breaking plane vertically or horizontally. Clopton's pitching chops were passed down from her mother, Sarah (Workman) Clopton who was the ace at Kansas leading the staff in strikeouts, shutouts in the 90s. She was also named team MVP and All-Big 12 First Team. Clopton's maturity on the mound is evident gathering from a recent interview after the state title, “There was a point in the game where I told myself I need to focus. I knew I was tired,” Clopton said. “Every pitch is going to take something out of you, and you need to make sure it’s the best pitch you can make.” During PGF Nationals, she threw 35 innings with 68 strikeouts with a .589 ERA. When she suits up for OSU, she will be ready.
4 | Quincee Lilio, UT | Athletics Mercado/Smith (Oklahoma)
"Q" is the quintessential utility player who can play every position on the field with precision. She jumped to the 18U Athletics Mercado team maturing and adapting to the level of play around her. By amping up her strength training, Lilio saw all of her power numbers go up in home runs, doubles, and triples. She's driving the ball farther with her power slap and stand-ins. As the starting shortstop for Great Oak High School, she batted .455 with 10 doubles, 3 triples and turned it up in CIF playoffs batting .545. She was named to the All-League following the season. Lilio has been playing up her entire softball career and has the IQ and ability to play under pressure under wraps.
