Don't need someone guessing with an opinion just to say Mike Stoops sucks.
When defending the triple option, what is the way people disrupted it in the past? To me, you have to create negative plays to stop the drive. I feel like the only way to do that is to drive back the interior OL early in the play to disrupt the QB run and pitch. Is that right? What are the negatives of doing that? My only guess would be if you over commit pushing forward that you leave yourself open to big runs on the full back dive?
It seemed we intentionally were not trying to do that, we were trying to catch the run at the LOS. You never saw the DL trying to push their way into the back field .
