Oklahoma has opened a seven shot lead after completing its opening round with a 4-under, 284 team total at The Farms Golf Club (San Diego Regional). There are a number of teams still out on the course.

Grant Hirschman - 1 -3

* Just days after being named to the 10-member All-Big 12 Team, freshman Grant Hirschman carded a bogey-free -3 (69).

The Colinsville (Tenn.) native opened his first NCAA Tournament round with eight straight pars before knocking in a birdie on No.9. After making the turn at -1, Hirschman made seven pars on the back squeezing in birdies at No.12 and 18 to give himself a share of the lead.

During his freshman campaign, Hirschman recorded a top five finish and five top-10 showings.

Max McGreevy - T4 -2

* The Edmond Santa Fe product birdied four in a row on the front at No. 6,7,8,9 to shoot 32. But gave three shots back with bogeys on No.15,16 & 17. Closed with a birdie on the 512-yard 18th to shoot 70 in the opening round.

Michael Gellerman - T5 -1

* After opening with back-to-back bogeys Gellerman settled in with birdies at No. 6 and 8 to get back to even par. Birdied the par-5 18th close with a -1 (71)

Beau Titsworth - T25 +2

* One of four Sooners to make birdie on both No.9 and No.18. Gave strokes back on the par-4 10th and par-3 16th making bogey on each.

Charlie Saxon - T39 +3

* Birdied the short Par-5 9th hole to make the turn at +2 but made bogey on the only two par-3s on the backside before closing with a birdie on 18.
