A few years back, leading up to the Air Force game, the athletic department urged fans to sing “home of the brave” instead of yelling “SOONERS!” Anyone know if there has been any effort this week to encourage the fans to sing the original words? I think Stoops actually did a message about it on the video board right before the anthem, but seemed like a lot of fans still yelled “SOONERS!” I wondered if the athletic department would just avoid it altogether since the anthem has become such a divisive topic with the protests in NFL.
