Think the guy is struggling to accept the deficiencies of this offense line. we are better playing on the edge and rolling out but he continues to try to setup 20-30 yard routes which should take our receivers about 2 to 3 seconds to get into the route to throw the ball, the oline is only allowing for 1.5 sec to 2 at max before mayield eit her crates more time with his feet or needs to get the ball out of his hands.
Texas was constantly emptying the middle of the field and there was no attempt to get Andrews on a seem or a quick in route or call hot routes to hit the soft parts of the defense.. Riley's offense has gotten off to slow starts due to his obvious intention to get the second tier skill guys touches, it reminds me of the thunder trying to get Roberson shots early because they know kd and Russell gonna get theirs,.... well .... wake up riley, this philosophy is dumb in football, you need to get the ball into your stars hands early and often and adjust to what the defense does, and if he doesn't know who his stars are then he doesn't need to be the coordinator at OU....
"in the end" I think Riley needs to stop trying to be clever and start flexing the muscle we have, adjust the schemes for our oline defiencies..... I think we get by these next 3 games but if he doesn't figure it out, it's going to be a winless November
