When I was younger I always had a basketball goal attached above my garage door or in the yard. From my youth to every house I owned. I believe it's the greatest work out one can have that is not boring. My daughter loves the gym, but I never could do the treadmill. Boring!

Okay to the rambling.....I just saw that Buddy Hield came from Freeport, Bahamas. My bad for not knowing it until now. I have a Bahamas story....

I once went on a trip to Nassau in the 80's. The hotel offered everything from tennis, bowling to golf. Just wasn't my thing. I talked to a staff member (6'9") that invited me to the basketball court where the staff members played pick up basketball every morning. Let me tell you, my eyes were opened when I tried to play with these Bahama natives. All I remember were flashes of bodies going by my defense, stealing the ball when I had it on offense and yeah the speed!

I told one of my friends OU needed to get to that island just to look at some of those guy's. I'm glad OU finally did with Buddy.............

What's your favorite exercise? Schooner, we know yours.....LOL

My idea of working out is like they say, "working out-side." I do all of my own home renovations, so I do a lot of sweating just ripping out rooms and hanging drywall, digging trenches outside, etc..
I go to the gym to lift weights, but that's far from working out. That's more relaxing - slow paced. You exert for a minute or less and sit around recovering for 2.
I'm envious of people that have time to play games.

I walk. My daily goal is 5 miles, which takes about an hour and 40 minutes. If the weather is bad, I walk about my house using my Fitbit to track my distance. We have a smaller home now so I have walk early before my wife gets up so not to drive her crazy. During the season I play golf three day a week and am the cart passenger that allows me to walk most of the course. I tee off and walk to my ball to wait for my partner to hit and come to me. It's like having a caddie except you have to be more patience. Hey, what's the hurry. We always play well under 4 hours. Old guys play ready golf. LOL. I meet my goal on average six days a week. Occasionally, I walk with 3 lbs. in each hand but that is typically when I walk in the house. I don't know if it really helps that much but I do it more because I enjoy it and until I retired never had the time or energy. I also do all my own yard work even though we are in a gated community which lawn services are included in the dues. Love yard work and always have.

I'm the same with basketball. Used to shoot regularly and was always a great feeling to get "hot". Won a fund raising free throw contest in middle school for Hoops for Heart shooting 17 of 20.

Also hard to beat weight lifting. Hitting high marks on weight is like a drug.

Lifting for me. I hate running...and I mean HATE running. I'm a bigger framed guy so my body wasn't built for running like some of my buddies that weigh a buck fitty and cut holes in the wind. I would rather pound weights for 2hrs than run for 10mins. I'm usually in the gym 5-6 days a week.

I like running. Stick my ear phones in and run with music. Everything disappears except the song and the goal to keep going.

I think we're gonna have to have a Scoop pickup game of hoops...except no shirts vs skins. Might scratch my eyes out.

Bama in January I bought a treadmill and it has really helped me to be more consistent when the weather is bad. Also helps to work up a sweat in the winter time. Nordic track has the whole ifit system which is similar to fitbit. You might check it out
