The other Aggie QB, sophomore Kyle Allen, is also transferring. According to this morning's Houston Chronicle, it is not yet known where either Aggie QB is going.
Regardless, if Baker Mayfield can get an extra year of eligibility....or even if he can't....OU will have Mayfield in 2016, with Austin Kendall joining the QB corps along with junior Cody Thomas for 2016.
In the class of 2017, an elite dual-threat QB from Mesquite Texas, Chris Robison, will join OU.
I'm not declaring stardom for Kendall or Robison at this time, nor am I certain that Thomas will be a capable backup to Mayfield in 2016....if he doesn't transfer as Knight did.
My point here is that there are several scenarios brewing for OU to be in good shape at the QB position for a while.
And what if....Mayfield gets the extra year, one of A & M's QBs transfers to OU and/or the other pieces fall into place.
Meanwhile, on the overall recruiting front, OU may be coming on strong with some big name recruits considering OU.

I agree, this surge we've had since the horn game is paying dividends already. Two years out even.
If the dream holds and we get 8, forget about it...they'll be lining up thick to wear the C&C.
Land o Goshen...we got to beat the lil tigers.
The more I read, the more I think Mayfield will not get an extra year. Texas Tech just isn't going to make it possible, and who can blame them ?

We play Texas Tech every year. Baker Mayfield makes it more likely for us to beat Texas Tech every time he's on our roster. I don't blame them. If Trevor Knight were a conference newcomer of the year type player, most of our fans would think it idiotic not to block him from transferring within conference.Eh, I can blame them a little.

Yep, I thought that was the whole crotch of the problem.
Tech strung him along, wouldn't give him a well deserved free ride. He, in a classic cause and effect scenario left TT and found a much more
welcoming, appreciative situation with OU.
That he is a life time OU fan is inconsequential.
