Multiple sites reporting Kobie McKinzie committed to OU

I have two feelings:
1...while it is a significant nonbinding commitment, it's happening so far in advance that it could be changed again.
2...it tells me that Grinch is aiming high for elite defensive recruits.

Yeah, but if you check his tweet, he states that OU was already the school of his dreams, and he was only waiting for an offer.
If all of that is true, I don't know how much we can read into Grinch's recruiting abilities, and what happens when someone in the SEC (besides aTm's already present offer) offers him?

This is a tweet from a 15 year kid whose ideas and ambitions can turn on a dime.
As for Grinch, I believe, all things considered....including the atrocious 63-point yield to LSU.....that he did well in his first year of recruiting for OU. And it appears one more stud will sign in February (DT Grimes).

Exactly. Just saying the commitment from McKinzie shouldn't weigh on anyone's recruiting opinion of Grinch.
