Dude, give @Carey Murdock all the sh*t in the world. Creed Humphrey comes in for the first time ever in the interview room, and he chickens out from interviewing his son and goes with Bill Bedenbaugh.

OU wins, we get more guys. Humphrey and Kennedy Brooks for the first time. Nice.

Strong running game makes life easier, no?

Yea, I feel like it opens up a lot for us as an offense as a whole. If you get the running game going they have to stack the box, or they have to come up with a game plan to stop our running backs. We have a lot of them, so that’s a lot of adjustments. If we have to throw the ball to the great receivers that we have, like Marquise, Grant and all them, there’s just no stopping it. That’s how I look at it.

What do you remember about Riley’s halftime speech at K-State?

Coach Riley, he expects a lot out of us and we expect a lot out of each other. The performance we put up in the first half wasn’t up to our potential, to our standards. I felt like we were held accountable and we needed to go handle business.

Celebrations no more?

That’s what I’m going to do going into this game. I’m going to just score my touchdown and go to the sideline.

Takes the fun out of the game?

Yea a lot, honestly. I was just trying to celebrate with my boy. It’s always a blessing. It’s hard to get a touchdown in this league. Now, I can’t even celebrate no more obviously.

First time you can remember him getting that mad, yelling at you?

Honestly it was more of an adjustment rather than yelling. Yelling is part of the game, but that’s just his way of showing his expression of how he feels. There was no yelling involved, honestly. It was just a strong message, I can say that.

Kennedy Brooks (feature tomorrow as well)

People noticing you this week, huh?

Just a little bit. I’m very humbled about what I did last week. I couldn’t do it without my teammates for carrying me and the coaches getting me prepared and ready. I’m really ready to work this hard and work even harder this week for Kansas State.

When did everything open up for you?

Just my confidence, really. It just kept me going and kept me running hard. Also my teammates, like I said, pushing me on and helping me not to lose focus. Just kept pushing on.

Learning to block?

You got to love it. You aren’t getting on the field unless you love it. We work hard on trying to be great run and pass blockers. It’s part of our game. You can’t be a good runner without having to block somebody. It’s very important in our offense.

Running style?

Just looking at my keys. It’s all it really is, it’s being patient and not to rush it. It’s looking at what the defense is doing and understanding where the play is supposed to go and understanding where the blockers are supposed to be. It’s all really technical and just doing it in practice over and over again that helps.

Jay Boulware?

He helped me with a lot. He sat me down. He is just trying to get me through everything, going through my reads and my blocking and getting leverage and getting low with ball carrying. He helps all of us. He’s a really good coach. I appreciate him a lot.
