UPDATE: 3:09p - OK I got a bit more from Terry who tells me he got that previous quote because his coaches told him OU said as much but I've talked to one staff member who says neither he, nor head coach Jason Todd, have spoken to Oklahoma today. So who this 'coach' was remains a mystery to pretty much all parties involved.
This whole thing feels weird as a source I trust, and I left this out of the initial post, wasn't fully aware that Oklahoma had moved on and frankly it didn't match up with anything I'd been hearing.
So again, we're kind of in a holding pattern as we check on some more things but as of right now Terry is not expecting to take his trip.
ORIGINAL: OK guys, have spoken to both Rivals250 linebacker Marvin Terry as well as one of my most trusted sources in regard to the rumor that Oklahoma has moved on from his recruitment.
"I don't believe I have that offer anymore," Terry said.
I'm trying to find out where he got that information if it was via the Oklahoma coaches or perhaps there is some erroneous line of communication. I don't believe the latter to be the case but I am checking.
Also, it's hard to ignore the conversation that Scoop brought up last Friday, that there has been some talk that Terry's ACT situation was not where it needed to be.
I'm also checking to see if this might have some connection to Mique Juarez setting up an official and Oklahoma only having room for so many linebackers. And perhaps the Sooners simply want to delay Terry until after Juarez's Nov. 20 visit.
If that is the case, it's a misstep in my opinion as Juarez is a USC/UCLA battle all the way, in spite of his visit.
