UPDATE: 10:15p - Also was told this morning, prior to Parnell Motley's commitment, that it was a 'first come, first serve' situation between he and Baylen Buchanan. Now, things can shift and move but based on my latest information, Oklahoma is done at cornerback and it's possible they are done at defensive back - I think Brandon Burton is an obvious take but not one they expect to land.
ORIGINAL: Talked to a buddy of mine and it sounds like the Sooners will be playing host to four-star defensive end Mark Jackson for an official visit in January. Though listed as a defensive end, he is a outside linebacker target for the Sooners.
A talented edge rusher, Jackson was a guy that came down to A&M and Oklahoma before his commitment and has stayed in contact, to one degree or another, ever since.
What's most interesting about his visit, that has been rumored as of late, is that it seems likely to be his last - taking trips to Texas, A&M, and then Oklahoma.
Even more interesting? This quote he gave to my guy Matt Clare.
"Chris Daniels just committed and we have been talking about OU for a while, plus most of my family is from Oklahoma."
With all the chaos in College Station right now this is a situation to keep an eye on but it's interesting as Jackson had been expected to enroll at semester. If he takes all three of those trips in January that would seem impossible.
