UPDATE: 9:52p - OK, have spoken to a few more people about the situation with Roberson and it sounds like it may not happen tomorrow but is coming soon. I'll keep checking around but right now I'm guessing it will be later this week at the earliest. But that being said, I do still believe it's coming.
UPDATE: 8:58p - Heard the news earlier today that Oklahoma will be getting another financial aid agreement, the third in this class already. This one from Harrah, Okla. offensive guard commitment Logan Roberson.
He will join Austin Kendall and Chanse Sylvie as unofficial, official, Sooner signees.
UPDATE: 8:35p - Alright guys, I admit this Maurice Chandler news really caught me off guard.
So for those who don't want to take a second to read it, it basically comes down to long-time Miami (Okla.) Northeastern Oklahoma A&M junior college cornerback is no longer an Oklahoma commitment.
And no, I don't think he will ever be again.
It's no terrible thing done or big sin, basically it's my understanding that some around Norman felt he took 'a step back' this season and basically it's why things have re-opened for Baylen Buchanan as Scoop talked about last week. I honestly thought they were unrelated but it's my fault for not asking enough questions.
Chandler and Oklahoma have gone their separate ways and I think, at least for Oklahoma, it's part of the plan. And I also can't help but wonder if it will work out better for Chandler who is looking to find a starting spot from the word go. (JM)
ORIGINAL: It looks like Oklahoma has lost long-time 2016 NEO Junior College CB commit Maurice Chandler. This is something that frankly caught us by surprise despite his recent visit to Arizona State, but we're working on giving you all an update from Maurice.
