From a fan perspective, it was not a fun game to watch in person. OU shot 33% and CU 37% from the floor for the game. The difference in the game was the energy: CU played with plenty of it and we fouled them what seemed like 10,000 times. Our guys seemed to be “going through the motions”.
Lon’s offensive scheme is so vanilla, it’s hard to watch. You either get guys passing the ball around the perimeter, or guys going 1-on-1 trying to drive, and an occasional (usually desperate) attempt to dump the ball low to Manek.
8-32 on 3-point attempts. Pretty sure that’s not what the analytics gurus had in mind when they say to shoot more 3’s...
