Line for LSU game?

This is a very important game for both head coaches.
I think the spread is about right. I think it will be something like 24-19 at games end. However I think it could very well be OU on that winning side.

It's a winnable game for OU, but it's going to be very difficult after that emotionally draining game against Alabama.
OU will have to put in some new wrinkles and find a way to stretch the field. Rest assured, LSU, just like anyone who watched the Alabama game, saw what happened. They will load the box to sell out against the run, probably put a spy on Arnold, and have their DB's play close to shut down the short passing game. If OU is not able to keep LSU's defense honest with some vertical routes, it's going to be very difficult to put points on the board.
The question is, who are OU's deep threats going into this game? JJ Hester? He hasn't done much of anything lately.

If I were LSU, I would load the box and dare Arnold to throw to what is left of OU’s depleted receiving core.
And so far in his career, Arnold has been, at best, an average passer….but that has a lot to do with his lack of elite pass protection.

Not to mention, to keep the defense honest with some vertical shots, the O-line is going to have to be able to protect for at least a few seconds, which they haven't done all year. They were great in the run game against Alabama, but pass protection is something they haven't (yet) demonstrated they can do competently. With that dink passing game against Alabama, that wasn't an issue because the ball came out so fast.
Agree again. I edited my original post by mentioning that pass protection has not been good this season.
I believe this has diminished Arnold’s development.
I think it just became a lot more important for Kelly and less for Brent. Keeping it close may be all we need to do.
Personally I think this team is going to be riding high and that energy carries over into the week and against the challenge of this road test.
Kelly has definitely been feeling the heat from the LSU fan base so it should be a really good game. Hopefully, the Sooners will bring the same mindset to Baton Rouge.

To keep LSU honest when they load the box all night, who is he going to throw to on vertical routes Saturday night, and how much time do you think he will have to drop back and set up in the pocket while the routes are being run?
To beat lsux on the road at one of the hardest places to play especially at night is gonna be a tall task. OU will have to pull another Bama like performance to make that happen and JA will once again have to beat lsux with his legs like he did Bama.

I hope your magic 8 ball finds the trash can after Saturday. I say that in a joking manner because if JA has one of his turnover games that could very well happen.

OU is more unpredictable than LSU but still will have an opportunity to win it’s 7th game of the season. I wouldn’t have dreamed that could happen a couple of weeks ago. So I’m going to just go HOMER and predict a Sooner victory 28-24. If I’m right it will be a terrific game to watch. Fingers crossed!! BOOMER SOONER!!!
Bowl projections for OU are against either West Virginia or Virginia Tech.
