Lead parachute

You guys are just not getting it. Mikey is brilliant. He had a plan to encourage Rudolph throw the ball a bunch to wide open receivers all game so his arm would get tired. Like a baseball pitcher or Rocky Balboa. Then in the 4th quarter his arm would be so tired he'd overthrow the receiver. Brilliant. And that's how Mikey won the game.

One of the problems with Mike is he thinks it is a foregone conclusion that you can't do anything against these offenses. With that mentality, he just lines up 3 on the line and gives cushions to the receivers in hopes of preventing the home run play. I'm sure he thinks if he pressures and plays tight, he will get torched for the home run play. Sad thing is it happens anyway. If he would pull his head out his butt for awhile, he might see that there is some value to taking it to the offense rather than the other way around. There are teams that have done that to OU as well as OSU with success. It can be done.

Mike Stoops wont be gone until seasons end. In the end, the defense won the OSU game and that’s all that matters. Excited about the freshman DBs on the field at the end.

Sooners in the way to #8 fellows so let’s get excited about that!

How many times has OSU scored 52 ?Now we all know OU recruits good players so where is the problem?I would say its coaching and schemes which means only one thing: Mike has to go.I don't want anyone to lose their job BUT could he go anywhere else and make a million dollars as a defensive coordinator? My opinion is no.

I really just can't understand the idea behind dropping Obo into coverage prolly 50% of the plays. Especially against a QB like Rudoph that you KNOW will make mistakes when he gets pressured. Just makes zero sense.

He puts square pegs in round holes. Complete idiocy and misuse of an incredibly talented player. I said very same thing to my friend about Obo. His strength is not scrambling to cover somebody.

I know there are many ways to coach kids in sports. Everyone is different. Personally, I don't think getting in a kids face and berating him is the best method. Keeping a player on the edge of rage is not a sound method to improvement. There is an argument against my theory. Mangino/Kansas. But there is support for my theory as applied to Mike Stoops = U of A. The Arizona alums that I know could not wait to get rid of Mike. They said he was arrogant, unruly and out of sync with people above and below him. One question needs to be asked: Do these kids want to play for Mike? I mean achieve at the highest level for him? There are too many very good defensive minded young guys in college level football these days. Any number of them would jump at a chance at OU. Our defensive woos this year should spark donors to unite in protest. Nothing resonates with a program like the threat of reduced donor revenues. (By the way, the new and improved lounges are not faring well. I haver been bombarded with calls to my grade to Santee Lounge in mid season).

Doubt if we get #8 with this defense. #13 did make some nice plays though. On the one play his ankle tackle prevented a sure TD.
