So many OU nuances to this story. The link I found was from Arkansas State where he was their top coach ever. My four years at OU, he rose from DE coach to DC when Switzer took over form Chuck Fairbanks in 1973. And had that job until .. well, I'll let somebody else explain that. I think it was at the Hula Bowl. Then they met up again under another Arkansan, Jerry Jones, with the Cowboys in the mid 90's. Apparently wounds were healed.
