As good as I thought Lady Gaga was singing the National Anthem during the SuperBowl, her tribute to David Bowie was terrible during last night's Grammy Awards. The opening was cool, but she simply ran/danced around in circles to a medley of altered arrangments to some of Bowie's greatest hits, which only covered a 10-year period of his career. Was not impressed or moved by her performance at all and I was really looking forward to her tribute.

The Eagles and Jackson Browne did a nice cover of "Take it Easy," in their tribute to Glenn Frey, but it left me wanting more.

The Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp, Duff McKagan, etc.), who played one of their songs and then transitioned into "The Ace of Spades" to honor Motorhead's Lemmy Kilminster, were beyond terrible. They sucked it hard from start to finish.

The tribute to Maurice White (Earth, Wind and Fire) by the acappella group Pentatonix was forgettable and the medley to honor Lionel Richie was just awkward, except for Demi Lovato, who can sing her ample butt off!

And can it be time for Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber to go away? I realize that I'm not their "demographic," but you can't blow your nose without hearing about these two in one way or another. Not a fan of their music, but it's the non-music attention they attract that is wearing me thin on these two.

Thankfully, Kanye and the Kardashian/Jenners weren't there.

I love Taylor Swift, and I'm not even a fan of her genre of music. Sometimes, you just have to appreciate the ability that someone has to deliver a performance, and she is the best since Michael Jackson, another whose music didn't enthuse me, as a performer. The girl can turn on a crowd. And, I thought she was such a wimp when she firs came up.

The BB King tribute was good, as well as the Eagles but Jackson Browne got old too. I cannot believe the rest of the crap is called music. I've become my Dad.
