I can't remember when an OU team so highly ranked to begin the year has suddenly been so disrespected as we head into a game.

Time will tell but I am honestly surprised...

I was speaking to the "talking heads" on all the pregame shows and halftime shows today...I could have missed something but of the 7-8 guys I watched talking about the game NONE picked OU...

That's what happens when OU comes out and lays an egg in the season opener. Then they put up a big score on a cupcake. So what do you expect?? The entire college football world does NOT revolve around sucking up to OU all the time.

They see what most OU fans refuse to see, OU aint OU anymore and have not been for some time.

It makes you wonder... Last year had all the qb's been healthy at other schools, would we be looking at the 11-2 #5 record, or would it really have been 9-4 8-5 type year?

We got extremely lucky last season, Clemson exposed us again and this year Houston and Ohio State have shown just how mediocre we are. I am glad we are playing these type games, maybe just maybe the powers that be will finally do something about it but I doubt it.

Short of migrating to a stronger conference and weaning away from arena-style football, what CAN the "powers that be" do ? OU is painted in a corner right now. It's called the Big 12 conference.

This conference has become pussified by moving to fast paced spread attacks that surprise no one anymore. Physical in your face football is a thing of yesterday for the little xii.
