How different would you feel about the defense if these two calls are not missed?
Play 1, that was a pick by Motley in the end zone and a terrible PI call
Play 2, horrible missed holding call on Gallimore on their 4th down touchdown at the end of the game...get that stop and turnover on downs.
I can’t help but feel we’re still playing better on D than we were. Can’t understand the cushion given while only sending three, but that looked to me like we wanted to play Iowa State’s scheme without the physical DBs. The guys expecting our D to look like Alabama or Clemson suddenly are delusional. I’d just take defense in the top 50 this year and look to improve with our new Coordinator next year.
