Police in Kansas arrested a man last week who is accused of killing his 7-year-old son and then feeding his body to pigs.
A statement from Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman confirms criminal charges were filed against Michael A. Jones, a 44-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, man.
Jones was arrested on November 25 and faces one count of aggravated battery, one count of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of child abuse. More charges could be filed against Jones as the investigation progresses, the statement says.

It is believed that remains recovered from a barn behind Jones' home where pigs are kept could be those of the missing boy, the statement says.
