What a damn waste. My boys are 12 and 19 respectively. Both boys are football lunatics like all of us, particularly when it comes to OU. The 19 year old believes (even after watching Marcus) that Bo Jackson is the best ever. I have to agree with Coach Switzer that had Marcus stayed and committed himself, no one would have touched him. Barry said had he played in the second half vs ASU, he would have easily ecipsed 400 yards against at that time, the #1 rushing defense in the country.
Such a sad story, and honestly, I don't blame Marcus for anything...that fvckin preacher put thoughts in his head, stole from him, and basically ruined him financially; yet he claims no responsibility in what happened. Anyway, I have no doubt he could have been the best, and even though my son disagrees. I'd take a healthy Marcus over Bo Jackson every day and twice on Sundays.
