Hey guys...
Don't know about you all, but I'm extremely proud of our team for finding a way to win a game we really had in hand and tried to give away first. Just some of my thoughts as I reflect on the WIN we banked yesterday.
1. Mayfield is a serious difference maker. We had the game in hand and all confidence while he was under center. Nothing personal against TK9 but the kid has no feel for the game. I honestly don't know why we kept sending him back out. I would have loved to see Thomas, but then again...why not just run the ball? It was working...well!!!
2. As proud of our d.efensive gameplan as I was against Baylor...I'm scratching my head trying to understand why we'd play soft and off against a backup with the 2 score + lead? I love Bob and Co...but it's my personal opinion that it'd be much better to make a youngster in a hostile environment earn all his throws in the face of Striker and Co. People who say our defense played well forget that we were up 17points deep into the 3rd and won by 1 point with a great play by parker. I can NOT say our defense played well...regardless how bad the play calling was or TK9...it's still on our defense to keep them out of the endzone.
3. As much as I love my old number...my manz...just isn't representing it well. What's funny is I was talking to T White and E Bassey and both were pretty pissed that he constantly takes terrible angles and misses tackles. I don't quite understand what he has on Mike and Bob because he doesn't deserve to be on the field...again...that's just my humble.
4. I'm a Niners fan, but to take a word from my Raider comrades..."Just Win Baby!!!" We can only control what we can control...thank you, to all of you who have put your personal emotions aside and are sending the team positive JuJus...they can feel it. Funny thing is, I know deep within you all...you can feel it. It really does help to have your fans 1000% behind you. Thanks again...we'll need it next week too.
5. the Pokes HATE us...one of my good friends is a pokes alum, ex ball player and car dealership owner...he's a good guy, but damn is he an idiot when it comes to those silly cowboys. Give all their fans HELL this week. They know DEEP within them that they don't belong on the same field as us. We need to take their confidence, energy and swagger TODAY.. Remind them how much we beat them and our history's record. It cuts them extremely deep that they aren't even a blip on our radar. They have just a little bit of hope but let's take it before we EVER take the field. Please show no love to any of them...they chose their team and have made their bed...let them sleep.
Continued to put all your faith and belief in us. We can do this, and sneak into the playoff. From there anything can happen.
