Something i dont think is brought up enough about OU's defense since Brent got here, is the amount of missed tackles there are are, or lack of missed tackles.
I remember watching games with the previous regime and just hoping that we would bring the player down 2 yards from the initial point of contact. Now that Brent has got here, i hardly ever see an egregiously missed tackle.
Something i really enjoyed about yesterday was seeing the freshman safeties get in there and lay some wood (although you could go without headhunting your only TE) with confidence and technique. Once Bates and Chavis get their rooms up to speed, i believe that we will get back to the defenses we were feared for in the early 2000's.
