Just heard late tonight that Jonathan Alvarez, OU’s top backup on the OL may be giving up football due to concussion issues. He has been in the concussion protocol in the last week and there’s a fear he may not be able to return to action. They will continue to monitor his progress, but it is a strong possibility he may not be able to return to football after suffering multiple concussions. He won’t return for TCU this weekend and they’ll continue to evaluate him moving forward. But there is a strong chance he’ll have to give up his playing career at this point.
