Chicago Bears practice squad wide receiver Jalen Saunders will be suspended four games for an undisclosed violation of league policy, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
Saunders was dealt from the New Orleans Saints to the New England Patriots at the end of training camp, but was released by the Patriots soon after. He signed with the Bears practice squad on Sept. 7.
Saunders has played in nine games in his career – three with the New York Jets and six with the Saints – primarily as a kick returner. He’s also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks practice squads.
A fourth round pick of the Jets in 2014, Saunders has been unable to stick on a 53-man roster.
