We gain a new young force on D the rest of the season. Jalen Redmond has been medically cleared to play. Any positive news is great for this defense.
We have two or three games out of the last group that we likely won't need him. I say play him where we need him and not when we don't .
It's going to be really hard for somebody who hasn't been practicing or working out until a couple of weeks ago, to step in and play high level football without working up to it a little.
It sure would be great if he could provide us a little pass rush. Quickly.
Agreed...except that if he is performing well and the rest of the D responds, ie. he's providing some positive "team chemistry" or becomes a "glue" player holding them together...and of course we are winning. If those happen, by all means burn a Redshirt if it means a shot at the Natty.^ This. No need to play vs. KU and maybe even vs the woeful Pokes. IF we make the playoffs, then by all means burn the 'shirt. If not, why waste a year of eligibility for half a year?
