Post your random thoughts from the Sooners 52-16 win here.

I'll start by saying I'm impressed with OU's run defense, especially in short yardage. Great stuff. Pass defense looked good too.

Also, still a little worried about our offensive line. They're getting a little better each week, and if they can stay healthy, they might be playing well enough by Bedlam to give us a chance to win that game. Right now it's a toss up between us and the pokes for the best defense in the conference. The cowboys are very strong at defensive line.

I agree that the OSU defense has been and is currently very under rated. They took a high flying TCU offense and heisman discussed QB to the woodshed. Having said this, I can't look forward at this point and I sure hope the program isn't either. Man they need to sooo badly stay focused on their next opponent, Baylor. With Baylor, OU doesn't need to win big as it's a road game. they just need to win.

As fas a the ISU game. I'm digging Lincoln Riley. The dude mad some adjustments and they rolled in the 2nd half. It's so refreshing to see this. It's something the program has missed.

I agree with the Warrior. D looked really good last night against a decent ISU offense, which I expected. I also agree that the O-line has been improving and getting some valuable experience going up against some weaker D-lines at KU, KSU and ISU. Hope that pays off going into the the teeth of the season. Also, the pass protection does not seem to have gotten all that much better (part of that is Baker's fault, holding the ball too long) since the debacle in Dallas. Baylor and OSU's D-lines will really test our guys' ability to open holes and protect Baker.

I continue to be impressed by the play of Austin at corner. I may get killed for saying this but I have no problem if he starts the rest of the year. I haven't seen him get caught looking into the backfield has made some interceptions. I'm scared Sanchez will bite on the double moves etc. that the secondary is going to be seeing in the next 3 games. Just my opinion.

You may get your wish as I was under the impression that high ankle sprains can take several weeks to recover from. Besides, I too really like the way Austin has responded and hope he continues to perform well. And once Sanchez comes back, Mike Stoops has got to find a way to get Austin on the field besides special teams.

I was wondering what the play calling was like in the dreadful second quarter. My assumption was that Mayfield is such an accurate long thrower they were dialing up deep passes but receivers either couldn't get open or Mayfield was not throwing quickly enough. Obviously Riley solved the problem in the second half. And ISU's D was much better than KU or Tech.

So now we get to see what OU can do on the road against what appears to be a very average D. But Baylor was average D for the last two years and OU did not get many points.

I was at the game (Dad's Weekend!)... Although, it was a win and a good night overall, I would like to take a little different thought pattern .... First of all, against I-state, the offense can afford to take a quarter off, like the 2nd quarter!! That was the worst one quarter performance I've seen in a long time from the offense... Second, OUr kicker can't miss anymore FG's for the rest of the year, unless they are over 55 yds... Third, dropped passes or even a dropped INT, are going to be killers for them going forward. Granted, there are going to be drops due to good D or a poor pass, but something in the grasp needs to be a completion.... Finally, since the texass fiasco, this team has responded against inferior teams. However, IMO it was perfect because it gave the team a chance to regroup and learn how to play together and get game experience you only get in "real" games.

I think overall, this team can run the table, but they have to play focused for all 4 quarters and keep their intensity we now know they have!! Boomer!!!!

After watching the game it made me realize how bad texas sucks this year.
Of course they beat OU, So oh well. Since then OU has improved greatly.
texas, not so much. What was the score again, ISU 24-- texas 0.
