Ever feel like you are talking to yourself? Ever wonder what life would be like if there were no rhetorical questions? Lot of people talking to themselves in this week’s chat. There are almost 40 comments that got no response in this star studded chat. Ironically that is the same number of 5-8 yard outs our secondary gave up to BU last year. Coincidence, I think not… But who’s counting?
Josh reports that Rome is burning, and that is the most positive news he has. Could have gone with Titanic (the movie), The Hindenburg disaster or a Celine Dion concert as acceptable answers as well. We now ask, do you want to be a failure for the rest of your life?
Guest had a bit of a written stuttering problem, but finally came out with this question, “josh do you think we are behind in recruiting ore is this normal for us”. Now, this is one of the unanswered comments. So what is Josh trying to hide? (Don’t answer that, it’s a rhetorical question) I can only assume this is question is in response to the stadium expansion. If we are behind in recruiting ore, especially iron ore, we will not get the stadium we want, nay, deserve as crimson blooded Sooners. Have we given up on the local iron ore and now trying to go more nationally? Should we get a lot of lessor ranked ore to build up the numbers, or get just a little of 5 star ore? Do we want to be a success?
When asked what is going wrong with recruiting, Josh says, and I quote: “I think for YEARS OU has been lax about recruiting - I think THIS year they are paying for what happened in the past. Because of a lull in talent (due to some equally lulled recruiting) there just isn't a lot of buzz about Oklahoma. As such kids aren't all that wound up right now.” Seems some on this board said a few years back that the poor recruiting would come back to bite us. But they were dismissed as bad fans and negative nellies. Can we do better next time?
Josh was trying to earn some extra vacation time. According to the commercial I hear every day on the radio, Buffalo Wild Wings is the new hot spot for a vacation. I hear it is great. But how should I know?
Josh still thinks OU has a better class than BU.Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?
Some more Rowdy talk. Did he get an invite to camp or not? Igogold claims to have bogarted the camp invite. Tar and feather party at Igo’s house Saturday night, 6:30. BYOB&PF (Bring your own beer and pitch forks) How much longer can this injustice continue?
No officials set up for the Akron game yet… But if we don’t get them set up now for the premiere home game we are sunk in recruiting. Smh. Why do we even go on?
