After watching our game and the Okie State game, this guy is a heck of a Coordinator, going to be moving on to a much bigger program in the future. Hope OU gives him a look, he is young and hungry. Whoever we go after, it would be great if we teach how to tackle like a Penn State. Watched there game with Ohio State, they wrap there arms around and not tackling with the shoulder.

Heacock the DC at Iowa St. is a heck of a DC, but hes anything but young. Has 34 years of coaching. He would be a great hire IMO, he coaches safeties, hes a proven coach and coordinator, may not gel with the younger generation of recruits, but hey thats what Viney is for. I say bring the guy to Norman.

If I were Riley I would devote the rest of this season compiling as much information as possible of who is capable and available. I would retain the staff as is until January.

It would be a cliche' hire, but I'd pick up Bama's best position coach (preferably LBers). It would result in an instant recruiting uptick at the LB position that has been more miss than hit here (and the play speaks for itself). Actually D recruiting in general should go through the roof - who wouldn't fear OU's O paired with Bama's D? And the Bama guy, obviously thinking of a HC job down the road, would like to be associated with that combo as well.

The outside LB coach is also the DC so we are not stealing him, so here's the Inside LB's assistant - only his first year at Bama and previous experience at lower levels, but Saban thought enough of him to make him Co-DC: Pete Golding

What's the deal with Shane Beamer? A lot of people here were excited to get him this year. Why isn't he ready to be a DC?

Would really be surprised if Riley hasn't been compiling a list of young and up and coming DCs. Who knows Diaco may be the guy. We will see pretty quick.
