Jacobs would have been cleanly vetted and Riley, Gundy and the WR lead coach (Simmons or another new WR coach also hired after the horrible season and bowl loss to Clemson) would have been able to offer Jacobs quickly if OU was not able to get 1 or 2 WR verbals. Bob Stoops has to be feeling like his staff is asleep at the wheel.
