I'd request a 5 day truce.

Rest well and have a speedy recovery.

I had my left leg amputated above the knee March 6th and my recovery has been slow. Being old and out of shape is a problem. Relearning how to walk has been difficult. Took my first steps post surgery a couple of days ago in rehab and it felt amazing. I still have so far to go.

Come back strong brother.

Technically, it's not really sleep. Afterwards when you're off the juice and recovering then you'll get some rest except when interrupted every so often by nurses, techs etc. Insist they close the door when they leave.
Good advice.

But even when they close the door, you can still hear all staff conversations all night long outside your door. Respect for the patient's ability to get quality sleep is not a priority.

.Hospitals and rehab facilities exist to implement their protocols and not yours even when you pay a butt load for their services. I was on a 3 hour interruption schedule. Rest is possible but sleep is difficult to come by.

Spent the night in the emergency room, surgery this afternoon. No sleep since yesterday morning.

Minor hopefully, but general anesthetic.

Plaino, I hope it is nothing serious. Is this something that appeared suddenly or is it something that you have had for awhile? Take care my great friend and you are in our prayers.

Fort Worth I was sorry to hear what you have gone through. Stay positive and you are also in my prayers

A thread like this one seems to put all the squabbling between us in its proper place......that is, it makes it all so unimportant, which it really is.
Fortworth and Plaino, take care and keep contributing.

CT...You must be a Psychic...I was thinking those exact same thoughts...Thanks for Posting them!

To fortworth & Plaino...Thoughts and Prayers for Both...Stay SOONER Strong!:)

Don't let them off the hook. If you can't sleep because of nurse chatter, be "that guy in 412" and complain like hell. Make them respect your need for sleep. I had the same situation and got hold of the nurse honcho. Things went better , then.

I'm okay.

Surgery at 3ish. Spending the night. Calfs all wrapped up. A massager on the wrapped up area from clotting. There were a lot of clots clogging up the plumbing. If you prayed, thanks.

FW, stay courageous.

I'm glad its over & I hope you continue to do well. . Having clots can be very serious. You will probably be put on a blood thinner. Did the MD say what caused the clots?

Take care my friend.

Thanks Bull.

The blood gelling was in my urine, from a bleeding prostate after that exam that all males hate. Just blood at first, but it started congealing and stopped all flow. I was lucky/blessed that my urologist was free enough yesterday to get the surgery done. Not fun, but when it comes to sudden ER trips and immediate "proceedure" it can be a whole lot worse.

Likely go home tonight or tomorrow. The dr. asked me if I was in a hurry to go home. I told him I had something to watch today from 3 to 6. And I wanted to be here or home that whole time at one place. So he said probably better to spend the night here. But I couldn't go home before 3:00. Maybe go home at 7;00.
