I was furious with Riley at the end of the game especially not going for the WIN on fourth and one but sat back and remembered it is just his first year, still disappointed but got confidence he’ll learn and be better at those moments going forward. All correct. Even Skip.
Lincoln is young though. Mike has been failing a long time.
in my opinion we had 4 opportunities to win that game yesterday, 3 on offense 1 on defense. 1. We get the ball after going up 45-38 and can’t muster a first down on 3rd and 5. 2. Get UGA to 3rd and about 10, DJ Ward gets Fromm dead to rights, and just runs right by him( this was the most gut wrenching for me) 3. get ball with 55 seconds, 3 timeouts and only need a field goal and can’t call a decent play to move the ball. And 4. Possibly the biggest mistake of the entire game, 4th and 1, heisman quarterback, touchdown wins it....... Riley: roll out the fg unitI don't disagree with anything they say. All of them are correct. And the last 4-5 min of the video gives some insight as to why OU doesn't get much respect nationally anymore. I don't ever want to hear another OU fan crying and complaining about lack of respect again until OU makes it a habit of proving things on the field in games like yesterday.
You're right on all these points. OU had so many chances to put this game away it's not even funny. That fumble recovery for a TD was pure Sooner Magic, but even that wasn't enough. Both sides of the ball failed miserably in the 2nd half last night.in my opinion we had 4 opportunities to win that game yesterday, 3 on offense 1 on defense. 1. I think it just goes to show how bad the execution and management of the game was on both sides of the ball when you get a magical defensive touchdown, that at that moment, felt like the game winner, and you still find a way to loseYou're right on all these points.
