His value is down more than a little, and I cannot imagine a trade to the Packers.
If there's one guy I wouldn't doubt on coming back from injury and performing at a high level at his age, it would be AD.
How many 29 year olds with a previously torn ACL, a surgically repaired sports hernia, and having sit out for nearly an entire season (suspension) could come back and rush for nearly 1500 yards on a horrible team?
An MCL tear is probably a joke to this freak of nature, even at the age of 31.

Doesn't surprise me. Trading him while his stock is still relatively high. He is still pretty young at 31, but realistically for RBs in the league he is on the downhill side of his career. He may be a freak of nature, but his human body is starting to feel the toll of injuries and almost 10 years in the league with the type of physical running he plays with. No matter how much of a freak of nature you are, the human body starts to break down under that kind of punishment. Hopefully he still has quite a few monster seasons ahead of him. Especially if he can land on a team with a solid line in front of him.
He should be relatively rested having only played 1 season really in the last 3. I say he's got one more 1200+ yard year. Not a pro-bowler, but a solid back for a good team.

Well that's definitely an advantage of missing so much playing time the last few seasons.
Curious to see what kind of money he can get on the free agent market.
What a sick backfield the Cowboys could have if Adrian Peterson teams up with Zeke Elliott. We might be the only franchise in history to have two Hall-of-Fame running backs on the same team.
I'd think the Cowboy attraction for AD might be less about playing with Zeke Elliott, and more about the offensive line. But I doubt the Cowboys would have the cap space. Adrian is likely to find a very diminished interest in giving him big bucks. It depends on that real estate sales principal: It only takes one buyer.
Dallas would have two things going for them. One is no state income tax. Not a small matter if you have a seven figure income. And he may still be seeking eight figures. The other is that he grew up a Cowboy fan, and Palestine is almost exactly a two hour drive from Jerry World. He may even wind up back in Minnesota. But I suspect there will be speculation about every team with more than six wins last season, as an AD maybe.

I don't think Dallas would be a good fit to be honest. Salary cap as has been mentioned. But more so, Dallas in on the hunt for defensive players with what cap they do have. Now Houston might be a looker. It's Texas and AD has some roots in Houston. I think this is a team to watch for not only AD, but Romo as well.
Yup. I don't think anyone wants Zeke sharing carries, even if it's with AD.
I suppose I would rather see him in Green Bay (it would be sort of like the Favre move to Minny) and definitely don't want Petey C pulling his strings if its only between these two teams
