Like CFB, this is the future of the NFL. It's also why Riley is going to be a hot commodity for years to come. All of the rules are in place to protect the offensive players and they continue to twerk with rules to allow for high scoring games.
The game is changing. Higher scores, more action puts more fans in the seats. Just wondering how the '85 Bears defense would fare against the Rams or Chiefs offense. I would think they would get at least 30 hung on them.
Lots of talk about how a Big 12 game broke out on MNF. For all the criticism it receives the conference is on the cutting edge of offensive scheming and the pros know it.
For all the cutting edge offensive scheming going on it sure does not equate to a National Title for any of the Big 12 teams. Funny how we are told the offenses in the Big 12 are very tough to play defense against yet teams outside the Conference have been able to stop them.
If I were into Conspiracy Theories I would almost believe the Big 12 does not play defense on purpose, so the offenses are more entertaining, fun to watch and keeps the Conference alive. Could be why the League has not gone under yet and thats what saved it. But as I said I am not into Conspiracy Theories so......
