I can't help but laugh at the poor shorthorns, best stat of all...

My dislike of Texas has more to do with its fan base, not really the players and coaches.
It also has to do with the close games OU has lost to Texas, while having the better team, in my 69 years. 1951, 1958, 1967, 1976, 1980, 1984 (tie), 1989, 1990, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2015 and this year come to my mind. That's a dozen losses what were like drowning in 2 feet of water.
In 2013, OU could have defeated Notre Dame, Texas and Alabama in the same season....but coughed up a 36-20 loss to Texas, while playing very poorly.
1958 may have cost OU a championship thanks to DKR using the new 2-point conversion rule to beat OU 15-14. The 12 years to follow were dominated by Texas.
In 1967, OU's Mike Vachon missed four field goals (he hit on four the year before in OU's 18-9 win)...and OU lost 9-7, while dominating the game.
In 1976, a bad snap from center on a PAT in the closing seconds ended a 6-6 tie.
In 1984, zebras ate OU alive as Stansberry's obvious interception was negated in the final seconds...Texas was allowed to kick a game tying FG, 15-15.
From 1989-91, Gibbs took three teams that were better than Texas and lost all 3 games by:...a 4th down pass in the last minute (28-24), a late game missed FG (13-14), and a fumble returned for a TD in the closing seconds (10-7).
The 2008 game had OU up 14-3 before UT's Shipley returned a kickoff to get Texas back in the game. OU defensively never recovered, losing 45-35.
I want my last twenty years (hopefully) to be the darkest chapter in UT's record book....and I chose to die on my 90th birthday by a gun shot to the head at the hands of a jealous husband.
