That one loss won't define our season and its even more obvious he knows when we beat Texas we went from a Big 12 title contender and a bowl team to knowing we replaced Texas as the Big12 playoff spot and he has to know that the committe really wants undefeated conference champions to make their choices easy. I get telling the team this if we are the 2022 Sooners.. But to be telling the team while we a 5-0 and 6-0 and trying to get to 13-0 because to me there are going to be 4 others ahead of us if we are 12-1 and I am quite comfortable in saying ISU will beat the beaks off of KU next week and KSU will finish the season killing Kansas and a 8-4 or 7-5 KU will keep OU out.. I just don't see any positives be telling the players when you are 5/0 6/0 that a loss won't define us when we are trying to get to 13-0 unless you are expecting a loss. I don't know... He said most of our goals are still ahead of us? I never thought D.G would win the heisman.. But I'd we did get to 13-0 2 wins over a top 10 Texas he would at least be invited.. With last week and yesterday... If we lose in Stoolwater... Who all won't be on the bus Saturday? We go 7-2 it will be Texas and OSU or KSU or ISU KU. If we don't make it to Arlington let alone hoping for one of the playoff spots. What goals is he taking about? I just don't get priming the team with a loss trap when your goal is to go 13-0... I am so thankful he is here.. I had season tickets from 1993 - 2008 when my wife got them in a divorce due to a stupid lawyer.. But with Coach Stoops staying close to OU and will likely be Castiglione replacement... Well that is what I am hopIng. If that is really in the cards I don't know.. But I just want to say I am so thankful for coach Venables. I was sickened when Lobby let his sack of $hit father-in-law on OU's sideline.. And with his play calling yesterday he needs to be fired.. But he wont.. He will be a detriment to future OU teams and we will have to live with it. Maybe OU was a 11-1 or 10-2 team at best and those that had hopes of 2000.... Maybe I was smoking a big bowl... But if we go to Stoolwater and get beat. Then It will be a very disapointing season.
