We’ve scored 48 and 45 points in our last two losses, neither of which were against particularly explosive offenses.
Mike’s job description is literally “Don’t screw it up”. We beat Georgia and Texas HANDILY just by playing mediocre defense. Just don’t be absolute shit and we win by 2-3 scores.
How many people have to take the fall for his sorry ass before he’s held accountable for the product he’s putting out there? Our offense has bailed him out of multiple historically bad performances. WVU in 2012. TCU and Tech in 16. We gave up 40+ to a shit Texas team that year, as well. KSU last year, Baylor last year, OSU last year.
The guy has to go. I’m tired of the talent being blamed. Iowa State has shit for talent but they play their asses off on D. And he’s been here going on 7 years. If the talent is bad, that’s because he hasn’t recruited and developed well enough.
He cannot be allowed to stay just because of who his damn brother is. Bob essentially gave the entire OU fan base the finger by keeping him around as long as he did, much less leaving him to be Lincoln’s problem...but Lincoln’s problem he is and whether or not he has it in him to make personnel decisions is going to define his tenure. Is he content with being good or does he want to be great? The greats surround themselves with greats.
