Hot diggity dog, won one

As much as I despise the Shortwhorns, UT provides the best academics of all the public universities in Texas. They have a great law school as well.

And I'd rather my daughter go to UT over Baylor anyday. There would be no reversal on that decision, f'ing Art Briles.

He just keeps us ignorant folks like me on their toes. :D
Ignorance is bliss... we are ALL blissfully ignorant of many things, myself included. I am not ignorant of the fact that texASS fans, students, players, coaches, etc. are indeed "whorns." My dad taught me that very early in life... :D

Of the top 25 public universities in the state of Texas the whorns have the second lowest acceptance rate for potential students. aTm accepts over 70% of qualified students while texASS only accepts 39.7%. They ignore their own admittance standards to "cherry pick" those they want. You can meet all the requirements to attend UT-Austin and you are more likely to be denied enrollment there.
Just like everything else they do. Gosh they are a bunch of Whorns.

  • TAMU is the Largest School: (61,642 Total Students)
  • UT Austin is the Most Difficult to Get In: (39.7% Acceptance Rate)
  • Texas Tech Offers the Cheapest In-State Tuition: ($7,811)
  • Texas Tech Offers the Cheapest Out-of-State Tuition: ($16,499)
  • TAMU Provides the Best Freshmen Financial Aid: (78% of Eligible Freshmen Receive Aid)
  • TAMU Students Graduate the Most in 6 Years: (80% Graduation Rate)
  • TAMU Students Earn the Most Salary Post-Graduation: ($51,000 Median Salary)
  • UT Austin Has the Smallest Class Sizes: (17:1 Student-Teacher Ratio)

Yeah well, my sister got her MBA from UT in 2010 and now works for the United Nations in Vienna. They are picky indeed, but those who are picked can graduate and go on to outstanding professional careers.

There is more crime at texASS. aTm graduates earn more money when they leave school. It costs more to go to texASS. While 98% of texASS students were top 50% or better in their high school class, aTm students are more likely to get a degree... aTm admits more students and a higher percentage of them graduate...

I also hear TAMU produces a lot of sheep-humpers and other perpetrators of bestiality acts. Didn't you hear about those students who ejaculated on a dead canine last spring?

Yes. I even interned there once.
Yet you compare aTm to them...

Chuy’s restaurant applicants are asked to draw their favorite cartoon characters and go through two to three interviews to make sure they have a distinct personality, said Ashley Ingle, director of marketing. The restaurant chain’s five Austin locations employ about 670 people with many backgrounds, from college students to older people who have returned to the workforce, she said.

I compared UT's academics to aTm's.

You have to draw cartoons to get a job at Chuy's, huh? That actually sounds fun. I wish all job interviews went like that.

And I've proven that texASS cherry picks their students, fewer graduate, and those who do get jobs that pay less money... You still care to argue academics?

Draw me a cartoon of how to repair an electronic fuel injection system on a 2007 GMC...

There's a daycare hiring across town...

If A&M's so great, why did they join the $EC and become Alabama's b*tch? I liked them better when they were OU's.

Certainly doesn't help your argument where UT's acceptance rate is significantly lower.

Maybe not. I only read where UT ranked 78th and A&M at 111th. Wasn't that your point?
From your link, which is one I provided earlier...

Okay, but you continue to insinuate that A&M provides better academics. A&M is a great agricultural school and certainly the best in Texas in that regard. But UT's overall academics outclass A&M's in a very significant way.

One who qualifies for UT has a 60.3% chance of not being enrolled there. 98% of their students are in the top 50% of their high school class, while aTm's is only 82%.

So while the whorns cherry pick the "academics," fewer graduate and those who do make less money...

I don't insinuate it at all. I've proven it. Repeatedly.

You can come in here being a whorn lover all you want. I've shown the fallacy of your argument and you still don't get it. I believe this is from your crappy education. Did you flunk out of texASS? You admit to being an intern in Austin and brag about a sibling who went there...

So why do they earn less money per graduate? Why do fewer graduate?

Their "academics" myth has been destroyed by facts...

Bring some academic "facts" to the table...

Okay first off, I hate Texas. I'm a Sooner fan.

I brought up UT's stellar academics, which is nothing embarrassing to admit, and you fire back with the words "that is very debatable" then you add your own Putin-Trump type lovefest pumping A&M's academics.

I get you don't like UT, of course what Sooner fan wouldn't? But this is a message board. It is a board of messages where anonymous people post a mix of facts and opinions when interacting with the pack. You get the picture, Malarkey?

It's a fine debate really, but the money argument is irrelevant as A&M grads average only $1,000 more per year.
