I promise I am not a gloomer. I am really happy about how this team has battled and am hopeful. Real hopeful for Saturday.

However, I will not be confident until I see them taking it to Baylor.

Two of the strongest reasons that are commonly given for why a team should win have let me down consistently this year:

(1) The transitive property - we beat Iowa State much more easily than Baylor so... If this rule held then you would expect Monmouth or Holy Cross to beat OU. I kid you not.

(2) Motivation - for the past 2 years we have had every reason in the world to be motivated against Texas and for that matter did we not have the burning desire for revenge against Baylor?

Having an effective run game, stopping the deep balls and controlling the line of scrimmage is what I am hanging my hat on against Baylor.
