- The Sooners have been in contact with JUCO guard Cris Carroll out of Coffeyville. Carroll has been on a tear to open Coffeyville's season. In his first three games, the 6-foot-6 guard has averaged 26.7 points on 55.3% shooting from the field and 55.6% (!) shooting from behind the arc. Carroll won Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Player of the Week. Carroll says it has been Oklahoma assistant coach Clayton Custer who's been in contact with him.
- Coach Ryan Humphrey has run point on the Jaylon Dean-Vines recruitment and was in to see him play this past weekend. Dean-Vines was offered back in the summer after an impressive AAU season. The class of 2025 6-foot-4 guard has offers from Oklahoma, Mississippi Valley State, UT-Arlington, and Tulsa. Texas Tech has also been in contact. I fully expect him to skyrocket up rankings over the next two seasons.
