I've always understood that my clubs are more valuable than my game. I believe keeping an ample supply of beer in the cart has a more calming effect than breaking clubs. A friend of mine threw his clubs, bag and all in the drink on the 18th at Emirates Golf Club. His wife reminded him that she bought those for him. He went for a swim to retrieve his gift.
I am not a fan of people that break clubs in anger. Just not a good look for the younger generation that is watching the game and learning to play the game.
I've never snapped a club over my knee like this guy, but I will admit I threw a couple of clubs back when I was a young hot head who thought he was a better golfer than he really was. But I have never broken a club.
