OK, this is just for fun. And done on the fly. I'll rate OU's receivers for the coming season. And in rating, I'll include TEs and RBs, guys who'll make the most impact catching the ball in this air raid offense. Again, the order isn't necessarily who'll have the most catches, but instead, who'll be the biggest threats and consistently make the biggest plays.

1) #11, Dede Westbrook. Yeah, that's right, he's number one. He might not have the most catches, but he'll consistently have huge plays in the most important games. So smooth, so electric in the open field.

2) #3, Sterling Shepard. Probably actually have the most catches. He's a jewel of consistency but it'll be nice not to see Shepard with 13 catches and the next guy with 2. With so many weapons being utilized, Shepard might actually wind up getting the ball a little less. But he'll be, as always, great, productive, invaluable.

3) #81, Mark Andrews. He's been a monster in Spring and Fall practices. A TE who might not have as many catches as some of the other receivers, he'll nonetheless have a ton of big plays, on 3rd down and in the red zone. Could be the guy with the most TD catches. Best TE since Gresham.

4) #25, Joe Mixon. Mixon could play WR and be OU's best. His hands are incredible and does anyone doubt Riley will flank him out wide very often and get him the ball in the passing game? Also, quick passes over the middle of the field with Mixon will account for countless big plays. Specifically, expect Mixon to eat Texas alive in the passing game and tell Charlie Strong to "eat it," on the way to the end zone.

5) #1, Jarvis Baxter. Yep, a bit of a flyer here, I know. A walk on with a late start. Loved his film. He's quick and think he'll be a QB favorite.

6) #13, A.D. Miller. Very impressive high school film. And speaking of impressive film, have you seen this guy catching the ball over at Soonersports.com? Man oh man. Fluid. He's young but ultra gifted.

7) #16, Michiah Quick. Talented, he'll be productive and get his share of balls. He'll have a solid year and make strides. Just a notch below the others previously mentioned.

8) #5, Durron Neal. A solid year. A good receiver. But, like much of his career, nothing spectacular. He'll be the first guy out of the rotation.

9) #15, Jeff Mead. Hopefully, though he won't have a ton of catches, he'll have some important ones. A big target.

10) #45, Carson Meier. A big, 6-5, target with soft hands. Behind Andrews at TE, he'll catch a lot of balls in mop up duty.

That's 10 deep and doesn't include the injured Jordan Smallwood or freshmen Dahu Green and John Humphrey, likely redshirts (who are too talented to waste this year.) Also missing is Dallis Todd who unfortunately appears the odd man out.

This group is going to do great things. They'll catch the ball, make lots of big plays and perhaps be OU's biggest strength. WR coach Simmons, along with his good buddy Lincoln Riley, are going light up the scoreboard. Of course, there's also Mike Stoops on the other side who'll also be lighting up the scoreboard in his own special way.

Can't have everything Sooner peeps. Enjoy these guys. They're gonna be fun.
