That....and may he live to be an old man, far beyond his 50th birthday.A couple of years ago I watched Jalen Redmond take over a game against a pretty solid Lawton squad. I'm not sure I've seen a better player--admittedly only in the single game I watched him--at the Oklahoma high school level in the nearly 20 years since I came back to the state. I was very excited when he signed with OU. Little did we know that he'd face the serious medical issues with which he's had to deal.
In that light, I hope he reaches the obvious potential he displayed at the prep level. More importantly though, I hope he can hurdle those medical challenges whether or not he ever plays another down for the Sooners.
