Heard good things about DE Jalen Redmond as a dominating defensive player on sports talk radio.

A couple of years ago I watched Jalen Redmond take over a game against a pretty solid Lawton squad. I'm not sure I've seen a better player--admittedly only in the single game I watched him--at the Oklahoma high school level in the nearly 20 years since I came back to the state. I was very excited when he signed with OU. Little did we know that he'd face the serious medical issues with which he's had to deal.

In that light, I hope he reaches the obvious potential he displayed at the prep level. More importantly though, I hope he can hurdle those medical challenges whether or not he ever plays another down for the Sooners.

That....and may he live to be an old man, far beyond his 50th birthday.

Wish Jalen the best...glad they proceeded with caution with the blood clots. Shows that the Sooners care about a life and glad he has rebounded. Grinch knows he could have the 2 best DE in the Big 12 with Perkins and Redmond should he align in that position.
