Has anyone heard that USC and UCLA are leaving the PAC 12 for the B10?

Can’t believe USC didn’t have a plan to move before they hired Riley. Both USC and UCLA say that money is the reason for moving and they could join by 2024.

Reports says Riley had no idea about this move. Riley gets to make a 4 hour flight to Ann Arbor to play Michigan in a night game with snow on the ground. Every away conference game will be a 4 hour joy ride. Penn State at night! Ohio State, Wisconsin, etc. LOL
Bitch boy didn't see this comin. SC will cover him though. At all costs

I like the idea of USC and UCLA sending their non-football teams to Big Ten areas from December-March.
And in the face of the cost of fuel these days, it's good to see everyone's doing their part to conserve.
The money grab continues..........

I am sure USC will join the West and UCLA will East.
16 teams will be in the Big Not So Ten:
This is how I see it configured.
East division (8)
Rutgers
Penn State
Maryland
Ohio State
Michigan
Michigan State
Indiana
Northwestern
********************
West division (8)
UCLA
USC
Nebraska
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Iowa
Illinois
Purdue

A diluted b1g, like the sec sec probably means foes from different sides of the conference only meet rarely or in CCGs
I would miss seeing Iowa getting spanked regularly by Northwestern

Speaking of the Hawkeyes, they are giddy mostly as if this is somehow going to enhance their chances of relevance in any way

I wonder if they will land in the Western half, the weakest division of CFB ?
The Big Ten realignment will most likely eliminate the divisions so that all of the teams can play each other at least twice every four years. That seems to be the direction for the SEC as well, but they will hash out the details at a later date. It doesn't make much sense to have teams in the same conference play each other only once every 8 years.

well at least we won't be hearing the bitching and complaining about non B10 & Pac10 teams playing in the Rose Bowl.

They can’t even draw crowds at home...nobody will travel for mediocre teams as in USC and UCLA...pffttttt
USC and UCLA in recent years seem to struggle with attendance just as Houston, Pittsburgh and Miami by playing in places that are more NFL oriented.
Houston, for example, has attracted people from all over the country (and the world) and most of these people have no interest in college football....so the Houston Cougars are a distant second in popularity to the Texans (which is a bit of a mystery to me) and playing in the shadows of the Texans (and formerly the Oilers) has to diminish recruiting for the Cougars......not to mention the fans of ATM and UT that live in the area.
As one who is not a fan of pro football, I am glad OU plays in an area where college football has a long and strong following.

One site is reporting that Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah making their way to the soon-to-be-altered Big 12.. Not exactly a splash and none of the 12 or soon to be 16 move the needle of interest.

Colorado back to B12 is actually funny. That entire fanbase and University has hated on the B12 every since they left. Karma is a bitch

The Hawkeye contingent pumping “richest and most academic prestige” of the b1g and “biggest payday from coast to coast media” versus the sec sec is laughable at best

It’s not really hate (such an ugly thing), I have always rooted them on IN situations that benefited the SOONERS. They are what they are as in boring football that too often underperforms but can be dangerous when they play the rare ‘perfect’ game.
One of my favorites though was a home/home when they had beaten Tulsa in Iowa City one year by 1 point but on the trip To Tulsa had flown down the morning of the contest in OK. Tulsa embarrassed them for the slight which was hilarious. Hawaii beat them on the islands one time when they didn’t play cleanly which I enjoyed. Heck perhaps Fry’s best team had to lose the Rose Bowl on 1/1/86 with 4 fumbles which preceded our 6th Natty Orange 🍊 win that night which was a glorious time in my life.
So Hawkeyes, thanks for the memories !
