Sounds like a great landing spot for him.

Jermaine Gresham might not be out of a job for long.

Still rehabbing from herniated disc surgery, the former Cincinnati Bengals tight end is scheduled to visit the Arizona Cardinals this week, a source apprised of his plans told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Gresham, 27, also visited the Saints last month and is expected to meet with additional teams. His goal, per Rapoport, is to find a new home by training camp.

In Arizona, former basketball player Darren Fells and second-year, big-bodied Troy Niklas lead a position group that is largely ignored in the passing game by coach Bruce Arians. The Cardinals are looking for help, though, after John Carlson's retirement and Rob Housler's departure to Cleveland.

Any tight end joining the Saints roster will compete for snaps with veteran Ben Watson and "Making the Leap" candidate Josh Hill. Gresham figures more as competition for Watson's "Y" tight end role.

Averaging 56 catches over five seasons, though, Gresham can catch the ball. He also finished 2014 as the NFL's third best pass-blocker at his position, per Pro Football Focus.

Health is the primary reason he doesn't have a team, so it shouldn't be long before Gresham finds himself in a new uniform.
