Good News, or Bad??

It would be much better for us to get the win with him healthy and playing. This will put an * next to the win. Probably won't help us much with the playoffs.

No Boykin = no benefit from beating them. Might as well be playing ISU as far as the idiots on the committee go...

Crap,, that means we get to hear how we beat a team with their backup qb. TCU probably did not want him to play because it would save face if we beat them, No, I am sure he is hurt. Oh well.

First, we have to clear the swamp of the Alligators. I don't even want to think what our stock would do if they beat us without him...

Now running on ESPN, states that he has not been ruled out COMPLETELY................not starting, is this a trick.

Even if Boykin plays, if he isn't well enough to be effective, an OU win may not be viewed well in the eyes of the committee. Think OU without Baker Mayfield able to rush, scramble or extend plays. The Sooners need to pour it on offensively and shut down TCU's offense. Show no mercy and leave no doubt.

Just win the game. Do not want to consider losing this game at home to TCU void of their starting QB and best WR. What the committee will remember is bedlam next weekend.

I concur with the last 2 posts. Just win!! I have always believed OU will need teams ahead of them to lose to get into the playoffs anyways. So OU just needs to win and see if everything else falls in place.

I agree.

If OU wins out and the don't make it in, they don't have anybody to blame but themselves. That TX loss was a bad deal all around.

But, I think some people here in OK are underestimating the national level of respect for the OU name. And, I have a gut feeling that if OU wins today, and next week, there will be enough chaos in front of them, that the committee will take the opportunity to give the Sooners the nod.. :)

I could be wrong, but that's my humble opinion.

Sounds good, in theory...Just hope there are enough 'Old Timers' to remember the Glory Days of Sooner Football, and hope that counts for SOMETHING!

Yep, there's that, and the little miracle I'm hoping for...that is Notre Dame falling down at Stanford next week I believe.

We're SO close!

Sunburnt that's been a lot of years. However I think we win out and still get in.

Good. Increases OU's chances to win the game. Fla. offense laying its usual egg against Fla. Atlantic so Gators won't pass OU not matter how close the win. If OU wins. Just win, baby.

Stanford isn't OU's only hope. Michigan has a great chance to beat Ohio State home.

Plaino, Standford is not OU's only hope MSU, Michigan, Iowa, Florida, north Carolina state. If just one of the top four drop a game OU is in.

It won't hurt us. I believe by the end of the game, the Baker Mayfield story will be the headlines and as such, everyone will be scurrying about to cover him and his Heisman run.

With all the players out for TCU we'd better win this game big...anything less will reflect poorly on Sooners in regards to the CFP committee

Section22 gets it. Our problem is our annual "how could this possibly happen?" loss. This year Texas.

Well, that may well be our downfall, but, considering all the possibilities still in front of us, we'd be cheating ourselves to limit those same possibilities.

Like Stoops said, OU is the the Ohio State of 2015...you got to believe...:D

Sawyer was the QB at Grace Prep where my kids went. They aren't good at all. Surprised TCU doesn't have someone better coming up behind Boykin.
