Oklahoma has its work cut out for itself as they'll be forced with the task of knocking off Oklahoma State twice today in hopes of keeping its season alive.
Oklahoma moved into Saturday bracket play with a 3-1 win over Kansas State Friday night in an elimination game. For the first time in a month it was the opposition that made the game changing error as Oklahoma scored a pair of runs late to keep its season alive.
Junior RHP Corey Copping will get the start for Oklahoma in the first game this afternoon.
OU starting line-up:
1.) Craig Aikin - CF
2.) Taylor Alspaugh - RF
3.) Kolbey Carpenter - 1B
4.) Anthony Hermelyn - C
5.) Sheldon Neuse - SS
6.) Robert Tasin - DH
7.) Hunter Haley - LF
8.) Kyle Mendenhall - 2B
9.) Joshua Ake - 3B
* Something to keep an eye on will be the weather throughout the afternoon. Of course, a second game vs. the Pokes won't be needed if they can't win the first game today.
Oklahoma State counters Copping with Jon Perrin (5-4 4.52 ERA) ... teams are hitting .248 vs. the right-handed Perrin
First pitch at the bottom of the hour.
